Cris Schneider
About
Cris Schneider attended George Washington University in Washington D.C., where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1995. Upon graduating from law school, he took a position where he specialized in state and federal criminal defense in Atlanta over the course of ten years. While working as a criminal defense lawyer in Atlanta, Attorney Cris Schneider worked alongside a nationally known criminal defense attorney, Drew Findling. At the Findling Law Firm, Attorney Schneider represented clients against an array of charges ranging from misdemeanor offenses to multi-million dollar federal conspiracy cases. While working at the Findling Law Firm, he had the opportunity to represent many high-profile clients, some of which included celebrities, high-ranking officials and professional athletes.
Upon relocating to coastal Georgia, Attorney Schneider took a position at the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office serving as the lead trial attorney for Bryan and McIntosh counties. Professionally, Attorney Schneider has been a featured educator and speaker before prosecutors throughout the state of Georgia. He was an esteemed faculty member of the Litigation for Prosecutors program, and he authored the study, "Looking Down from the Benches and Up from the Trenches," a study into law enforcement and judicial perspectives on prosecutors, which he presented to more than 700 prosecutors throughout Georgia.
Working as a prosecutor for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office gave Attorney Schneider valuable insight into how prosecutors develop and prosecute cases against defendants. While this experience helped him develop valuable relationships with law enforcement officers and area judges and gave him a great understanding of the inner workings of the Georgia criminal justice system, he yearned to advocate on behalf of the criminally accused and to defend the rights of those who could benefit from his knowledge and experience. Thus, Attorney Schneider left the District Attorney's Office to open Schneider Lerch, LLC where he was able to realize his passion and put his skills to better use helping those faced with criminal charges and their families.
Since going into private practice, Cris Schneider has been representing individuals against state and federal charges and he has been appointed as the Hinesville City Solicitor. Dedicated to the field of criminal defense, Attorney Schneider is an active member of numerous professional legal organizations including the Atlantic Circuit Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Cris Schneider currently serves as the vice president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, which is an invitation-only organization comprised of the top trial lawyers in every state. In addition, Attorney Chris has been recognized by The National Advocacy for DUI Defense (NAFDD) for two consecutive years!
